On the evening of January 7, 2016, Global Fashion Management students from FIT’s School of Graduate Studies presented their capstone research to an audience of apparel industry leaders, alumni, faculty, family, and friends.
To complete the capstone research, students from diverse cultural backgrounds worked in teams to provide solutions to industry-related problems, presenting their data and analysis at the evening’s event. Topics included a study of sustainability and the secondary clothing market; targeted customization for the Hispanic millennial; and an analysis of gender inequality among professional women in the apparel industry in South Korea and Japan, with New York serving as an important source for primary research.
The three-semester, Master of Professional Studies program in Global Fashion Management is a fashion business-focused curriculum which works in partnership with Institut Français de la Mode in Paris and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Each semester, an intensive 10-day seminar is held on one of the three campuses, taking advantage of cultural, technological, aesthetic, and business trends in the respective city.
Dynamic Worldwide is proud to have sponsored the Global Fashion Management event for the third consecutive year. Each year the reception provides the opportunity for guests to network with alumni and industry executives.
